Writing an Abstract Webinar
Whether you are a seasoned author or have yet to submit your first abstract, this webinar recording will address components of a successful abstract as well as common mistakes in composing an abstract and how to avoid them.
APHON is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education (CNE) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is responsible for developing and evaluating individual educational activities in compliance with current ANCC Accreditation Program criteria. ANCC recently released new criteria which have shifted from a focus on behavioral learning objectives to outcome-based education.

Abstract Submission Types
Education Session Abstracts
Educational Session submissions include:
- General Sessions (Invited speakers for a 50 minute presentation with 10 minutes of Q&A)
- Pre-Conference All Day Courses (Invited speakers which includes the Leadership Course and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Program Course, and Specialty Courses)
- Pre-Conference Half-Day Workshops (3.25 hours including a 15 minute break)
- Children's Oncology Group Pre-Conference Half-Day Workshops (3.25 hours including a 15 minute break)
- Concurrent Sessions (50 minutes, 10 minutes Q&A)
- COG Concurrent Sessions (50 minutes, 10 minutes Q&A).
The education session abstract submission overview provides detailed instructions about the different requirements for submitting a complete proposal for consideration.
APHON and Children's Oncology Group paper presentations are 20 minutes in length which includes Q&A. Poster presentations for both APHON and Children's Oncology Group presentations are mounted on a 4'x7' board and available for viewing in the exhibit hall area throughout out scheduled exhibit hours. The conference objective for the poster session is to provide new information that can be applied to pediatric hematology/oncology nursing practice. The paper/poster abstract submission overview provides detailed instructions about the different requirements for submitting a complete proposal for consideration.
