Program Description
The APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Instructor Course is designed to provide registered nurses with the knowledge and skills needed to teach the APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Course. This course provides general instruction in adult education, guidance in the planning of lectures based on the APHON program content, and instruction in administering the Provider exam. Successful completion allows nurses to return to their institutions as recognized APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Instructors who are able to provide ongoing instruction and education to other registered nurses.
Learning Outcome: Upon Instructor Course completion, 70% of participants will report an increase or change in knowledge and/or skill in preparation as a new Chemotherapy-Biotherapy Instructor.
Pre-session Disclaimer
APHON will provide 6.5 contact hours for successful completion of the Chemotherapy-Biotherapy Instructor Course. Successful completion includes attendance of entire session and completion of the course evaluation.
