Evidence-Based Practice

APHON's Evidence-Based Practice and Research Committee supports the development of Evidence-Based Practice Guidelines and supports research activities within the membership optimizing outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer and blood disorders.

Method of Review

A subcommittee of the Evidence-Based Practice and Research Committee of the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses conducted a group review of clinical recommendations using the AGREE II Instrument. The committee requires an overall assessment of approval for listing on this website.

The APHON EBP/Research Committee is proud to list the COG Endorsed Supportive Care Guidelines as a resource for pediatric oncology nurses. A multi-disciplinary group of the Supportive Care Committee within COG has very stringently reviewed these guidelines and endorsed them.
