2. Read through the submission directions, paying attention to the instructions on our list and your state’s website
3. Click the respective link
4. Read through and edit the APHON Proclamation text for your state, customizing the highlighted areas
5. Have a chapter leader fill out the submission form
6. That’s it, click submit!

State	Instructions
Alabama	To complete the document accurately and efficiently, please provide as much information as possible. If you are requesting a proclamation, please cut and paste a copy of a previous proclamation or include enough information to draft a new version. Please submit form no later than 30 days before date needed.
Alaska	Proclamation requests are reviewed 4-6 weeks ahead of the requested issue date. To be fully considered, proclamations must include proposed draft language. Approved proclamations will not specifically advertise or endorse a specific organization, event, business, living individual, product, or service.
Arizona	Proclamation requests are accepted no less than six weeks but no more than six months in advance of the event date or proclaimed date.Proclamations will not be issued more than three months in advance of the event.
Arkansas	All proclamations must be submitted to the Office of Correspondence with at least a 30-day notice to allow for the approval process and the production of the document itself.
Califormia	In California, proclamation requests are legal documents. Request a commemorative message instead.All requests must be submitted no later than 30 days before your requested deadline or event date, whichever comes first.
Colorado	Requests must be submitted at least six weeks before the requested date of proclamation. Late requests will not be accepted.Proclamations will be completed 1-2 weeks before the date they are proclaiming.
Delaware	Please make requests three weeks in advance of your deadline.
Florida	Guidelines for a Proclamation Please allow 4-6 weeks for review.
Georgia	A Georgia resident must request at least 45 days in advance. For this request to be met within that period, we must have all the information provided.
Hawaii	All requests must be submitted on-line at least four (4) weeks before the requested completion date and not more than three (3) months in advance of the event
Idaho	If you would like to request a proclamation or a signing ceremony, you must fill out a scheduling request form at least three weeks before your event. Requesting a proclamation does not fulfill a signing ceremony request with the Governor. View Full policy guidelines
Illinois	Requests must be made to the Governor’s Office four weeks in advance of the date needed.
Indiana	Requests must be submitted 6-8 weeks in advance of the requested delivery date, or it will be denied.
Iowa	Requests must be made to the Governor’s office six weeks in advance of the date needed.
Kansas	To ensure on-time delivery, proclamations must be requested 30 days before their due date.
Kentucky	To ensure on-time delivery, proclamations must be requested 30 days before their due date.
Massachusetts	Submit your request at least 20 business days in advance.
Michigan	To submit a proclamation or program book welcome letter request, please send a detailed e-mail to tributes@michigan.gov at least four weeks in advance of when the recognition is needed.

Missouri	Submit at least 30 days before the date needed.

Nebraska	The Governor’s Office must receive a complete request and draft Proclamation at least 30 days before the date you wish to receive the document to allow for approval and production.
Nevada	Please note that due to the number of requests received, proclamation requests must be received at least 30 days in advance Guidelines
New Hampshire	Proclamation requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of the required issue date.
New Jersey	Requests must be made to the Governor’s office 6-8 weeks in advance of the date needed.

North Carolina	All requests are processed based on the date that is being proclaimed. Requests must be made no less than six weeks and no more than six months in advance of the proclaimed date.

Ohio	The proclamation, special letter, and resolution requests must be received at least 30 days before the event.
Oklahoma	All requests should be made at least 30 days in advance.
Oregon	All proclamations must be submitted with at least a 30-day notice to allow for the approval process and the production of the document itself.
Pennsylvania	The Governor’s Office requires 6-8 weeks to process a request for a greeting or proclamation from Governor Wolf.

South Carolina	Your request must be received at least 30 days in advance of the date you would like to receive the proclamation. See also
