Description
The APHON Spring Education Exchange (SEE) is a virtual learning event designed to provide pediatric hematology/oncology nurses with up-to-date clinical knowledge and best practices. This two-day program offers a structured educational experience, enabling participants to engage with emerging therapies, interdisciplinary collaboration strategies, and quality improvement initiatives. Topics include CAR T-cell therapy for CNS tumors, gene therapy, photobiomodulation, and advancements in imaging modalities for pediatric neuro-oncology. Additionally, sessions will address leadership and nurse self-care, communication strategies in end-of-life care, and methods for reducing procedural discomfort in pediatric patients.

This event offers a convenient and accessible platform for nurses to explore current research and clinical applications in their field. Participants will have the opportunity to examine data-driven approaches to patient care, including interdisciplinary models for enhancing outcomes. The inclusion of a paper presentation on the Toyota Quality Improvement Model underscores the event’s emphasis on evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
Upon successful completion of the Spring Education Exchange, nurses will earn up to 7 NCPD hours. There are no pharmacology hours associated with this activity.
The Association for Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 14513.
APHON SEE Cancellation Policy
Please note that refunds will not be issued for cancellations of APHON SEE registration. However, we are happy to transfer your SEE registration to another individual if you are unable to attend.
Registration fees for APHON SEE cannot be transferred or applied to the APHON Annual Conference or any other APHON events.
